Porsche is seriously exploring hybrids and fully electric cars, and at the forefront of this effort is the electric e-Boxter. Porsche has built three e-Boxsters as part of their e-mobility program. These cars are intended to provide data to Porsche’s engineers.

The e-Boxsters have a range of 100-miles per charge which is the same as the Nissan Leaf. What makes the Porsche interesting is its 240 horsepower and legendary handling.

These cars are designed to help Porsche ascertain what drivers want to see and what electric car drivers need in terms of power, range, and infrastructure.
