AltBuild Conference & Expo 2012 (Event)

Presented by the City of Santa Monica and U.S. Green Building Council-Los Angeles (USGBC-LA), the 9th Annual AltBuild Conference & Expo returns May 11-12, 2012. It will take place at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, 1855 Main Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401. The event will address: Water efficiency, green building practices, it will involve hands-on workshops, practical skills for professionals and consumers.

AltBuild is considered the largest and most-respected green building and design expo in Southern California, serving top industry professionals such as architects, builders, contractors, engineers and landscapers, as well as a large consumer audience.

Featured programming will include over 40 industry speakers—focuses on practical and often hands-on skills for all attendees, with special focus on water efficiency, saving through green building (developing, brokering and getting rebates), energy savings, and then looking to the future. This year’s enhanced programming is presented by the U.S. Green Building Council-Los Angeles(USGBC-LA), American Institute of Architects Los Angeles (AIA|LA), Building Industry Association(BIA)-LA/Ventura County Chapter, Build It Green, and the City of Santa Monica Water Resources Department.

Tickets are free to the Expo, all Saturday programming and the majority of Friday programming. Parking is $9.00 for cars but there is free bike valet parking.
