They advise organizations on how to integrate responsible practices into their strategies, communicate these practices internally and externally for bottom-line impact, and provide training to build skills and engage associates. BrownFlynn believes that training is an integral part of their service offering, building skills within your organization and in the process, educating and engaging associates in sustainability. As the first United States-based certified training partner of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), our team is dedicated to educating clients on how to utilize GRI’s framework for sustainability reporting and as a management process to achieve bottom-line impact.

The GRI Process (Two-days)

This two-day, GRI certified program provides attendees with a comprehensive overview of reporting their environmental, social and economic policies–a practice which often establishes or enhances a company’s sustainability strategy.

September 25-26, 2012: Palo Alto, CA (in partnership with SAP)
October 17-18, 2012: Cleveland, OH

The GRI Snapshot (4 hrs)

This is the two day course boiled down into a half day (4 hr) session. Core components of BrownFlynn’s half course include an abridged version of the two-day GRI course. This interactive, hands-on learning offers a high level review of trends and best practices in sustainability management and GRI reporting. It also includes a discussion of all five phases in the GRI sustainability management/reporting process and a structural overview of the GRI Framework and Guidelines, with guidance for using principles, performance indicators and protocols. This course is designed for sustainability managers or team members who will be responsible for implementing management strategies or developing/contributing to sustainability reporting.

GRI Line by Line (1-2 days)

An immersion into the GRI standard disclosures. They take you line by line through the GRI disclosures, providing examples, resources and explanations of each. The Line by Line series is designed for Corporate Responsibility or Sustainability practitioners who are tasked with gathering information for a GRI report.
