Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has the ambitious goal of bringing electricity to the 400,000,000 Indians who do not currently have access to it. By 2019, says Narendra Taneja — Modi’s energy spokesperson — every household will be able to run at least two light bulbs, a television and also cook with a solar cooker.
