This event will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in both Ontario and Alberta. This annual, single-day, province-wide showcase provides access to Decentralised Energy Canada (DEC) projects, businesses, manufacturing sites, education programs and other related initiatives.
In 2014 the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA) and Decentralised Energy Canada (DEC) are partnering to bring the success of the Ontario Green Energy Doors Open to Alberta.
They encourage all users, producers and advocates of decentralised energy to open their doors in order to raise awareness, understanding and support for DE. Their goal is to raise awareness, understanding and support for decentralised energy by providing people with the opportunity to visit, see, touch and talk about the projects in their backyard.
Participating organizations and households will organize their own individual tours and events, while OSEA and DEC will provide back office support.
Green Energy Doors Open was started by the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA) in 2011.
