This event will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2014 – 2:00 PM Eastern Time at the The Nature Conservancy – 4245 North Fairfax Drive #100 Arlington, VA 22203.  The Green Bonds Webinar and Live Q&A will offer information to help you to fund the green economy.

The philanthropic landscape continues to shift, and organizations focused on building a sustainable future for people and planet must seek new and innovative opportunities to fund initiatives with an impact.

DotGreen & EarthShare invite you to join us for a free webinar and in-person Q&A session to learn how Green Bonds and the .green Top Level Domain launch will offer new avenues for funding environmental progress on a global scale.
With over $30 billion in issuances so far this year, the global Green Bond market is thriving and driving new investment to much needed climate change related projects. Additionally, it is projected that worldwide adoption of .green domain names on the Internet will help boost the Green Economy and fund the necessary projects for sustainability.

Two webinars will present and discuss the fundamentals of the Green Bond and the new .green Community and how they can support eligible projects. These webinars should be of interest to potential issuers, investors, project sponsors etc.

1.  “Green Bonds 101” (2:00 PM Eastern Time):  IFC and the World Bank
International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank have helped pioneer the green bond market and raise awareness about opportunities in climate-friendly investment.

With over $30 billion in issuances so far this year, green bonds are delivering finance for low-carbon projects and providing investors with high-quality-credit, fixed-income investment opportunities that have a positive impact. This presentation will discuss the growth of green bonds and what kind of projects can be financed using this avenue.

2.  “.green” The World’s Environmental Domain (3:00 PM Eastern Time): .green is a new Internet address extension launching in early 2015. A .green website will soon be an easy way for like-minded individuals, businesses, corporations, and non-profits to help advance the international green movement, fund environmental progress, and claim a presence in the online global .green economy.

There are also some limited opportunities to join the group in-person at
TNC headquarters in Virginia. If you would like to attend in person or
via webinar, contact info@earthshare.org // 240.333.0310
