In this video UNEP’s Keith Alverson expresses confidence that the world is moving in the right direction to combat climate change. He points to positive signs including President Barack Obama’s climate agreement with China and progress on the Green Climate Fund. He also reviews two UNEP reports that have been released in Lima this includes UNEP’s Emissions Gap Report (measured in gigatons of carbon) and the Adaptation Gap Report which show that one of the most effective ways to adapt to climate change is through education. Ultimately what we need to see is an agreement in Paris in 2015.
