The United States has more top ranked sustainability corporations than any other country. A total of 20 percent of the top 100 sustainable businesses were located in the US. This is one of the findings of the 2015 Global 100 list which is compiled by the Toronto based media and investment research firm Corporate Knights.
This is the best performance ever for US companies and indicates that American companies are improving. Not only do American firms compare favorable to the rest of the world, they occupy the top two positions in the Global 100 list.
Biogen, a Massachusetts based biotechnology firms came in first followed by American pharamaceutical company Allergan.
The US dominates the list, with 20 companies the best result in the lists 11 year history. making the ranks.
