Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) replaced Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) at the end of 2013. These goals include an increased emphasis on water, they also include a focus on education. Goal number four of the SDGs is:
“Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote life-long learning opportunities for all”
